STEP 6: Understanding the sales register.
The Sales Register is the center of the Unique Salon Software application. Since this is primarily a point of sale and accounting management software, the Sales Register is where you will be spending most of your time. From here you can enter the sales transactions as they happen during the day so that Unique can track all of your daily activities.
The sales information entered here is used to decrease and increase inventory stock on hand, to determine employee commissions, to track petty cash, track Dayspa services, track gift cards and gift certificates, track accounts receivable transactions, update client records and history, and for generating the Daily and Period sales reports and more.
The Main available commands are:
Sales - Enter a new sale.
Void/Return - Void a sale or enter returned merchandise.
NO Sale - To open the cash Drawer for change or misc.
Petty Cash - Enter petty cash expenditure.
Acct. - Enter a payment to an Accounts Receivable account.
Inv. - Inventory: To lookup and receive inventory items.
Misc - Miscellaneous register setup and report functions.
Client - Add new or lookup clients/ modify information about existing clients.
Gift - Enter a gift card or gift certificate purchase.
Appointments - Access the appointment book and appointment reports
Send mail - Send a general email to a specific client, friend, or company.
Reports - Access all other reports generated by Unique Software.
