Returned Checks
To enter a client's check that was returned by your bank:
Select Edit/Returned Check from the Checking Account menu.
A window appears that asks you for information about the returned check.
Fill in the name of the client who wrote the check, the check number, the amount of the check, any bank service charge charged to your account by the bank, and the date of check was returned.
Unique will enter the information into the checking account as a debit, assigning the proper ledger codes for the amount of the check and the amount of the service charge.
Your account balance will then be decreased by the amount of the check and the service charge.
