Putting an Item on Sale
There are times when you will want to help your retail sales by putting some items on sale. This can be done by assigning a sale price to the item and giving it a beginning and ending date for the sale. Unique will automatically use the sale prices when the item is sold during the specified date period.
The easiest way to setup the sale information is to enter the sale price for all the sale items, then tag the items that are going on sale and use the Replace command to replace the Sale Begin and Sale End dates for those items.
To do this: select Edit/Sale Price from the Inventory menu for all the items you want to put on sale and enter their sale price. When this is finished, select Select/Clear All to remove any current selection marks from the inventory. Then select Select/Manual and manually select the inventory items that are going on sale.
When you select the Manual Select command, a scrollable window appears listing all your inventory items. To mark an item as selected, double click on the highlighted desired. A "4" symbol appears at the left side of the window to signify that the item has been selected. To remove the mark double click again and the mark is removed.
When you have finished selecting your inventory items, Exit to quit out of the Manual selection window .
Then select Replace/Sale Begin and enter the beginning sale date .
Finally, select Replace/Sale End and enter the sale ending date . When finished, Unique will use the sale price for those items but only during the beginning and ending dates you specified.
one instance, but not in all. Please do a backup before performing these types of procedures.
