Finding Clients
Clients can be found by entering the last name, first name, or phone number. Select the Find Button.
Deleting Clients
Deleting clients is a two-stage process. You must first mark the client for deletion and then use the Remove Deletion Record process. Marking Clients for Deletion
There are several ways to mark clients for deletion. You can either delete the clients individually using the Delete command, or you can "Select " all the clients you want to delete through the "Select " command and then mark them for deletions.
1) Deleting clients individually To mark a client as deleted, select Delete/Delete Record from the Client Menu . A "***DELETED ***" mark is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. This deletion mark can be removed by selecting Delete/Undelete Record from the Client Menu.
2) Deletions using the Select command To use the Select command, select from the Client Menu . The first thing you should do is to make sure all the current selected marks have been removed from the client records. To do this select Clear All and confirm that you want to clear all the selected marks. Unique will then remove the selected marks from all the clients' records on your system.
Next, select/Manual from the Client menu. A scrollable window appears listing your clients and their last visit date. Highlight the client you want to select and double click on their name. A "4" appears next to the last name of the client to signify that the client has been selected. To remove the selected mark, double click again and the mark is removed.
When all the clients to be deleted have been selected, Exit the Manual Select menu. Next, select Delete/Selected Records from the Client Menu . After confirming that you want to mark the selected records for deletion Unique puts a deletion mark on all the selected clients. Now continue to the next step to remove the client records.
Deleting Marked Clients:
To remove the client marked for deletion from the client file, select Delete/Remove deleted records. To protect your data files a password should be required to change your database. After confirming that you want the files selected deleted, the Unique system will perform the following functions:
· Remove all client files that you've marked for deletion.
· Resort the client files.
When this final step is completed, the client deletion process is finished. Once this has been done the deleted clients cannot be retrieved.
