Exporting Clients
Unique gives you the ability to export your clients to a file for mailing by a third party entity. For instance, you just hired this super fancy marketing agency to do a marketing promotion for your salon. They will design you marketing brochure and do the mailing for you. They will then say to you, we need your client database of the clients that you like us to mail this campaign out too. This is where this handy Unique software export tool comes into play. You'll then go into the selection module (See selecting Clients) and select the group of clients that you'll like to send the mailing too. (Lets say all clients).
After you have completed the selection process, go into the main menu of the Unique software and select the client menu. Select Masc. and then the "Export selected client' option. This will allow you to export the clients that you have selected to an ASCII file (ASCII Comma Delimited file). This type of file structure is use by 99.99% of software programs and mailing house operations. You will then select the disk media that you will like to save these files to. Click on the eclipse [..] button and select the drive that you will like the exported file to be save too. Unique currently defaults to a file call "CLIENT.TXT".
When selecting clients here, it's a good idea to specify a beginning and ending Zip code. This will guarantee that
all the clients that you will mailing to will have a deliverable mailing address. It will also save you money in the long run.
